Michael J. Boyer, 73, of Mechanicsburg, PA passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at West Shore Hospital, Mechanicsburg. Born Thursday, September 14, 1950, in Harrisburg, he was the son of Glenda O. (Helman) Boyer, and the late Nelson W. Boyer Jr.
A graduate of East Pennsboro High School, Michael went on to serve with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Later in life, he retired from Norfolk Southern. An avid golfer and Penn State fan, he found his greatest joy in spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his mother, Glenda, of Duncannon, he is survived by three brothers: Bill, of Boston, Barry, of Camp Hill and Dave, married to Joanie, of Enola. Also surviving are five nephews, two nieces, three great-nephews, and four great-nieces. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Cheryl Boyer.
Private services and interment will be at the convenience of the family.
