Patricia Shuey, 88, from West Fairview, PA passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at The Bridges at Bent Creek in Mechanicsburg, PA.  Born on February 8, 1936, in Harrisburg, PA. She was the daughter of the late Martin and Myrtle (McLaughlin) Keys.

Pat was a homemaker who enjoyed tending to her house and gardens and talking with her sisters on the phone.  She also enjoyed trips to camp with her husband and children, long days on the river cruising around in a boat and picnicking on their favorite island.  Once her children were grown, she loved babysitting her grandchildren and later spending time with her great-grandchildren.  Over the past several years, she cherished the friendships she made with the residents and staff at The Bridges. While there, she enjoyed watching birds out her window and working on word search books.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Larry Shuey.  She is survived by two sons Daniel S. (Lisa) Shuey of Marysville; Douglas A. (Amber) Shuey of Florida; two daughters Wanda J. Gump of Carlisle; Dora L. Brewbaker of Enola; four grandchildren, Zachary, Megan, Jessica, and Jared; four great-grandchildren Emma, Noah, Liam and Taytum.

Services will be held Thursday, April 18th, 2024, at 7 PM at Sullivan Funeral Home, 51 N. Enola Drive, Enola, PA  17025.  Visitation will be held from 6-7 PM prior to the service.

One memory on “Patricia Shuey”

  1. Dan, Doug , Wanda , Dora and families!

I have so many good memories of your Mom , but, one that sticks with me is remembering your Mom and Dads wedding . What a beautiful bride she was and she always maintained that beauty inside and out. She always looked after all of us cousins while living on Front Street. Many good and fun times we all had together when visiting.
She was one fine lady and a great Aunt.

God Bless you all as you grieve her loss. Prayers and hugs to you all.

    Love,
    Terry and Linda (Keys) Rodkey
