Rodney Lee Keller (53) passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2020 surrounded by family at Penn State Hershey Medical Center. Rodney was born on August 29, 1966 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to Clyde and Mabel Keller.
Rodney was a devoted father who was known for his generosity, compassion, and soft-spoken resolve. Anyone who has grown to know, and love Rod is abundantly aware of his humor and wit—no matter the occasion. Even until his final days, he remained a shining example of how important it is to enjoy life to the fullest. Whether that meant eating the best food around town, endlessly laughing at the shows he enjoyed, or playing with the late beloved family dog, Bella, he found the best in the world despite any obstacle.
In days past, the best times were often the simplest. Evenings at home with family were filled with good food and good fun around the house—Bella included, who would be found happily waving around her newest toy. The demands of life never got in the way of thousands of moments like these that, all strung together, show life well lived and well given. All of this was possible because of Rodney.
Beyond living life to his own bliss, he is remembered as a father who did everything to give his family the best life possible. Long hours. Late nights. Never a problem. All because Rodney knew his dedication would lift up his family. Rodney may not be with us in-person, but he is part of each of us by how he lived. We carry lessons learned, loving memories, and bright futures because of the impact Rodney had on those around him.
He is survived by his daughter and two sons: Megan, Brandon, and Joshua.
A small, private service will be held with limited invited guests due to COVID restrictions on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at Sullivan Funeral Home.
The Sullivan Funeral Home is honored to serve the Keller family.

I just wanted to add that Rod is also survived by his mom, Mabel Keller, his sister Connie, his brothers Clyde (Allen), Timothy, and Jason.
He’s also survived by nieces Rochelle (Connie), Amanda and Kiersten (Timothy) , and nephew Jeremy (Timothy). Also several Grand nieces and Grand nephews.
Rod was a wonderful neighbor and man. He exuded those qualities with his family and neighbors. Being a neighbor of Rod’s for 9 and a half years, we got to know him well and even enjoyed Bella’s company when he took summer vacations! He loved decorating for each holiday, particularly Halloween! He loved greeting the trick-or-treaters with his elaborate display of Halloween. He will be sincerely missed by us. However, he walks with God now.
Rod was my neighbor for 6.5 years and what a wonderful neighbor he was. He would always surprise us with gifts every Christmas and even throughout the year, he always thought of us. One year, he brought us donuts from the farm show. Another time he gave us Hershey almond bars because I once mentioned they were my favorite.. He also liked to spoil our kids. And he absolutely loved decorating for every holiday. Rod was truly the best neighbor and my heart breaks knowing we’ll never see that smiling face. Our prayers to the family!!
