Theo Elizabeth Mierley

At 93 years young, Theo Elizabeth Mierley, Camp Hill, PA, formerly of Baldwin Twp, Pittsburgh, PA, and Altoona, PA, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning January 16th, 2024.

Surviving are her son John Mierley and wife Veronica, daughter Lisa Mierley Kilpatrick and husband Jimi,  brother Jack Isenberg and wife Anne,  4 grandchildren, Lauren Mierley Cramer, husband Martin, Matthew Mierley, wife Gretta,  Collin Kilpatrick, wife Rachel and Harry Lowber; and 4 great-grandchildren, Margareta, Owen, Theodore and Adalina, with one more blessing on the way; her nephew David and niece Kathy,  whom she was so proud of all of them as well as her son Andrew Mierley who preceded her in death.

Theo was a trailblazer, being President of the Women’s Club, President of the PTA, the 1st women on the Baldwin Whitehall School Board and a Commissioner of Baldwin Twp.  She was a Penn State graduate, top realtor, once selling 7 homes in 6 days; was one of 6 people chosen to critique a new magazine titled The National Enquirer and was nominated for Outstanding Young Women of America in 1966.

Beating Polio as a child, she loved horseback riding as a teenager, being active in the community as an adult and collecting pins later in life.  She is now rejoined with her friends, having a drink at Amels in heaven.

In remembrance of Theo Mierley, donations can be made to the charity of your choice or to Hospice For All Seasons Harrisburg, PA.  Services will be held at a future date to be announced.

The Sullivan Funeral Home is honored to serve the Mierley family.

  1. Dear Lisa, we just read of your mom‘s passing. She was such a special person to us when we all lived in Baldwin Township. I have many wonderful memories of our time with the women’s club and other events. She will always be a very unique and free spirit in my mind. May God bless you and your family. Barbara Andrews.
