With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Vivian C. (Burg) Krobath, our loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to all whose lives she touched, on February 23, 2020.

Born May 19, 1950, in Frankfurt, Germany, Vivian spent her life in Harrisburg, Middletown, and Enola, Pennsylvania.  At age 19, Vivian fell in love with Michael Krobath, the man she would spend her life with, and to whom she would have been married for 50 years this March.

Vivian was a dedicated mother first and foremost.  She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them.  Always wanting the best for them, she did anything she could to help them achieve their dreams.  Not only did she fulfill the role of mother to her own children, but all her children’s friends felt Vivian’s love.

Vivian especially loved her role as Grandma.  When her first grandchild was born, within days she and her husband sold their home in Harrisburg and moved into a new home in their daughter’s neighborhood so they could see their new granddaughter every day.  Whether it was reading books, going to the movies, or just spending time each day helping care for her grandchildren, they were clearly the light of her life.

When sharing special moments with her family, Vivian captured each and every one of them on film.  Through scrapbooking her photos, she shared her creativity, her artistic gifts, and her love for family.   The pages she created highlighted her favorite beach vacations, her gardening accomplishments, and the joys of hosting holidays for her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband Michael; son Christopher; daughter Nicole and husband James Flynn; three grandchildren: Emma, Connor, and Ryan; sister Caryn Wallace; nephew Justin Wallace, wife Erica, and son Evan; brother Michael Burg and wife Angela; nieces Amanda Burg, Marissa Burg, and Madison Proper.

A visitation with Vivian’s family will be held on Sunday, March 1, from 4:00 to 5:00 P.M. at Sullivan Funeral Home, 51 N. Enola Drive, Enola, PA 17025.

Donations to East Pennsboro Music Booster Association in Vivian’s memory are welcomed: 425 West Shady Lane, Enola, PA 17025.

The Sullivan Funeral Home is honored to serve the Krobath family.

  1. So sorry to hear of Vivians passing! I love the years I got to see her daily as she got Emma, Connor & Ryan on or off the bus! She was one of a kind her family was her life! Please know she had a huge impact on whoever she came in touch with! If you need anything let me know!!

  2. As one of Nicole’s friends and a previous neighbor, I was able to spend a lot of time with Vivian. She had a joy that radiated a room and her generosity was heartfelt. Everytime I see a pink flamingo I’m reminded of the kindest soul that has left us too soon. I will always remember her hearty laugh and the many ways she loved her family. I’m a better person having known her.
