William (Bud) F. Bodenheimer, Jr., 82, of Enola passed away at home Jan 27th surrounded by his family. He was born in Harrisburg, Nov 17, 1938, son of the late William and Vesta Bodenheimer.
Bud served in the U.S. Air Force (1956-1961). He was a member of the Enola Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Perry Lodge No. 458 and Teamsters Local 776. He drove truck for Transcon Trucking and worked as a yard jockey for Roadway Trucking before retiring in 1997. He especially enjoyed his grandchildren, playing golf, fishing and watching news, football and Westerns on TV. He was a lifelong fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Philadelphia Eagles. He attended monthly breakfasts with his 1956 Enola High School classmates and weekly breakfasts with local friends.
Bud is survived by his wife, Dawn, of 56 years, and 3 children, Beth Bodenheimer (William Chenoweth), William (Buzz) Bodenheimer, M.D. (Heidi) and Brooke Bodenheimer. He had seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters Joyce Bodenheimer and Jean Long.
A memorial service will take place at a later date.
