William A. Kindness, Sr., 86, of Enola passed away on Saturday, October 31st at his home.
Bill was a retired welder from L.B. Smith Heavy Equipment with 45 years of service. He was a lifetime member of the West Fairview Fire Department and served as Fire Chief for 11 years. He also served as President of the Cumberland County Volunteer Fireman’s Assn.
Bill is survived by his wife of 65 years, Donna I. Kindness, and son, William A. Kindness, Jr. both of Enola. He was preceded in death by his son, Craig A. Kindness. He is also survived by many loving friends and relatives.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, November 6, 2020 at 12PM at Stone Church Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the United Methodist Church of West Fairview 2 State Hwy, Enola, PA 17025 or Asana Hospice of Harrisburg 2708 Commerce Dr STE 300, Harrisburg, PA 17110.

Uncle Bill and Aunt Donna always has a open door policy and enjoyed when we came to visit.

Truly a blessing in my life, as a child and adult. I had the privilege of camping out in their home as a child, spending many summer days in West Fairview with Uncle Bill, Aunt Donna,Craig and Billy. I often reflect back and Uncle Bill was and still is the Hero! What great memories, thank you Uncle Bill. You will always be in that special place in my heart.
